major medical policy for catastrophic coverage, you may do so
without penalty since Cinergy Health Preferred insurance plans
are Qualified Creditable Coverage.

Once you enroll you will receive your membership
package including a detailed explanation of your benefits, your Certificate
of Insurance and your medical identification cards.
Who is Eligible for Coverage?
The Cinergy Health Preferred Plans were created
to help the forty-seven million Americans who do not have health
coverage today. Through our partnership with the National Congress
of Employers (NCE), we are able to offer these plans to ALL individuals
and working people across the country. The Cinergy Health Preferred
Plans are guaranteed issue, so everyone qualifies regardless of
pre-existing medical conditions. All eligible applicants pay the
same rate provided you are under age 65 upon enrollment.* However,
there is a six month waiting period for benefits related to conditions
for which the member was seen, treated or diagnosed within the
six months prior to enrollment unless proof of prior creditable
coverage is provided.
These plans were designed primarily for people
who:
• don’t have access to comprehensive
major medical insurance
• cannot afford or qualify for traditional major medical
insurance
• have catastrophic health insurance plans with very high deductibles
