Critical Illness Insurance- Plan Details
Our Critical Illness plans offer the following benefits:
- Underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa.
- Pays a lump sum benefit up to $25,000 directly to you upon the first diagnosis of a covered critical illness.
- Choice of benefits coverage per diagnosis: $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 or $25,000.
- Benefits are paid directly to you regardless of any other insurance you may have, including Medicare.
- Benefits are paid for each individual occurrence of a serious condition.
For example, if you receive a benefit payment as a result of a heart
attack, you are still eligible for benefit payments should you be diagnosed
with cancer or suffer a stroke or any of the other covered critical illnesses.
Once the maximum benefit amount has been paid for a particular illness,
no further benefits are payable for that particular illness for that insured
person.
Refund Policy
Please take the time to fully review your Insurance Certificate when it arrives in the mail. You may cancel the policy prior to your effective date or within 10 Days of receipt of your Insurance Certificate and receive a full refund of your first month’s premium. To request cancellation and a refund you must submit your request in writing and it must be postmarked within 10 Days of receipt of your Insurance Certificate. This insurance is underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa. and is made available to all members of the National Congress of Employers (NCE) and their dependents, including spouse and children under the age of 19 (under age 23 if a full-time college student).
